Flawless and straightforward

I’ve been using ForkLift for a few years now and all I can say is that I highly recommend it. It does the job and it does it right. Easy to set up and easy to use for my web design work for clients. Thank you dev team!

Excellent

Rock solid ftp app that canalso be used as a wicked fast finder replacement.

Forklift on OSX El Capitan COMPLETELY BROKEN

How many months have we had to get ready for the release of El Capitan? Answer more than 4 months. Good job guys, when I try to connect to any sftp host now in forklift, the application just freezes up. This started happening right after upgrading today. I would consider buying forklift 2 but in light of how you let this slip I think I will go elsewhere and not reward bad practices here. I would hate to think forklift2 is the resolution and that this is all done on purpose, please tell me it aint so? Maybe you will be more considerate in the future for your other customers.

Workaround for El Capitan hang

I too saw the non-responsive window after installing El Cap. Solution that fixed it for me: 1) In ForkLift Preferences: General Uncheck “Restore tabs on startup” 2) Force quit ForkLift and it works again

Lovin it for over a year.

Great software, and excellent support! Got a response in 1 hour with El Capitan workaround (push the ESC key if your window hangs in el capitan). Permanent fix is coming shortly, folks :)

Looks Pretty, that’s it

This application locks up my Mac everytime I try to open it. It does not gracefully handle endpoint failures, and apparantly ignores timeouts and keeps trying. I suggenst saving your money and getting something else. I FULLY REGRET PURCHASING THIS APPLICATION: iMac core i7 Quad processor with 16GB ram using Yosemite, fully updated and patched. I must add the caveat that I have to run Microsoft Outlook/Lynk for Mac on this system, and it “does things” the mac shouldn’t allow… just saying I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK! I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK! I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK! I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK! I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK! I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK!

Broken on El Capitan

Laggy and unresponsive on El Capitan to the point of being unusable. Very disappointing as this was previously a very solid App.

needs compatibility with El Capitan

Not working. Freezing. :(

Back to All Good

Version 2.6.6 fixes the hang in startup in El Capitan. Linking it once again. Thx for the update.

Been using on production machine, excellent!

I have been using this file manager for over 4 years now. I must say I love it. The favorites/workflows are simply amazing when you are working on multiple projects. Recently decided to contact support, they responded very fast. I needed the non-appstore version, for Disklets and privileged file operations, they provided me with a serial for the non-appstore version. Support response time is very fast and they solved my issue. Highly recommend this app.

Excellent replacement to Finder - runs smoothly on El Capitan

I initially purchased this app just to use it as my FTP/SFTP client. It’s great for that purpose, but also great for most file management tasks you can think of. Symlinking, archiving, renaming, organizing into groups, etc. There’s a lot of power in this app that makes it an excellent alternative to Finder, which I didn’t even realize I was looking for. Highly recommended!

RegEx search is icing on the cake

A great overall app. The ability to select objects in S3 using RegEx is really invaluable if you have thousands of objects with the same prefix. No more deleting them one by one!

Didn’t work as well for me for AWS S3

In fairness, I needed it to transfer an extremely large file. It ran great for a while and then died every time due to timeouts. Doesn’t seem to handle slowdowns or timeouts very gracefully. No settings for retries, retry delay or timeout length. It just gives an error and then quits. Resuming a failed upload is also not an option. I think I just paid to test the software.

Used to be great, now just meh..

Forklift used to be great, almost best in class. Unfortunately, this version 2.x does not work with El Crapitan. (spontaneous freezes and kernel crashes while moving data to/from remote network SMB shares). The best you can do is wait until version 3 fixes all stability problems. If you need a file manager right now and cant wait, there are two or three better options available on the App Store. It pains me to see this slump in performance because I was a die hard user since the very begining. On the other hand, a lot of the development issues are part of the general misery brought by El Crapitan.
