Quite good

It does everything it says. Fonctionne très bien et cest un outil très utilile quand tas besoin de qqc caché par le système.

Need some update, as soon as possible !

Forklift is my favorite ftp client since 1 year but. Now, I’m on Mavericks and I realy want native notifications.

Features = good - usability = very bad!!!

I really wanted to use this app more frequently but every time I try to do a simple task it drives me crazy because of the strange view bug - example: scroll down and select a file for the trash… delete it then - for some stupid reason the view / file list jumps to the top again - and you have to seek for your last position every time you do something - very annoying!!!! Also if you like the mac gestures - you will hate this app too. The file list is “hovering” in a strange way “vertically” over the screen - which makes the navigation really difficult! overall good “technical feature set” but the user interface is very bad! for me unusable ! will take it of my mac now !

Could need a real update from time to time...

More or less unchanged since years, more or less very stable since years… But SFTP does not connect in El Capitan Beta - be aware.

Unusable under El Capitan (OSX 10.11)

I was satisfied with this App until El Capitan (OSX 10.11) came out. Since the update Forklift freezes when I try to connect over SFTP. Currently for me the App is unusable and wasted money.

Do not buy!

Incompatible to ElCapitain

The issue only occurs when it is trying to connect/restore a remote connection without saved password. 1. Go to ‘Favorites > Show Favorites’ (or hit Esc) 2. Select the saved favorite connection and click on the pencil icon at the left bottom corner (Edit) 3. Uncheck the Ask checkbox next to the password field and enter the password 4. Click on Save The upcoming compatibility update will fix it soon.

Since update to 10.11 Hanging during startup

I was always very happy with this app. But since I updated to 10.11 it is hanging during startup blocking also all othe apps on my computer. On the web page of the developer is a newer version, wher this broblem is mentioned as fixed. But on the Appstore is still the older version. Please update - otherwise I cannot use ForkLift anymore.

This is garbage!

Needed to compare two directories. It prompted: launch path not accessible What else can do this software that Finder cannot do? This is garbage! Now I must look for other solution. Update: My bad. I didn’t know I had to do research first. I have now XCode installed. What has changed? The same devil, different name. 2015-11-07 01:18:06.958 opendiff[815:264645] too few arguments 2015-11-07 01:18:06.963 opendiff[815:264645] usage: opendiff file1 file2 [-ancestor ancestorFile] [-merge mergeFile] It feels like Windows! Garbage!

No hesitations here...

Bought this app during a MacZot deal years back and have really enjoyed using the tool. Upgrading at 99 cents for a product of this quality is so no brainer it hurts… 2 pane file management will change how you manage your files…. period….

Perfect!

Really deserves 5 stars!

No Customer Support (Updated)

This is a very nice update. The program looks great and works well. The "App Delete" portion of the program now works correctly. While I am still disappointed at the shabby treatment I received from their customer support (see below), I am now satisfied enough with the improvements to recommend this program to others. I have increased my rating by one star. ---------------------------------- I wrote to the developer on June 1, 2011 about a problem I was having with the "App Delete" portion of the program. I havent even received an acknowledment of my email yet. Too bad the program seems to be quite good other wise, but poor customer support can lead to dissatisfaction very quickly. I wouldnt recommend this program until the developer takes more of an interest in his customers.

thank you

ive been using Forklift since v1.0 and ive upgraded to 2.0 but allways wanted to upgrade to the appstore version of the app and at $0.99 was the best value to do so. thank you and now on the review. the best damn ftp client on the osx hands dowit deserves 10* not 5*

Looks Great, Works Great

Easy to use - beats fumbling with Dreamweaver. And for 99 cents?!? You cant go wrong.

Norton Commander on a mac! (but i would like a french version)

Nice!! I like the layout, stuff you can do with it seem worth the 0.99$ value i just put! Two panel like that, ive never see something like that since Norton Commander on windows :) It would be very nice to translate this into French. But rest assured that will replace the Finder once and for all :)

What a Gift!

Great app and a real steal at $0.99 (yes, it really has been selling for $29.99). I also have to say, next to Automator, thats the coolest icon. Thank you BinaryNights!

I use this everyday !!

Awesome App guys. Great job. The only thing I would love is if you could PLEASE PLEASE make an iPad version of this.

Too bad there is no Snow Leopard support

There really is no valid reason to have dropped Snow Leopard support. My main machine is still running it and will be for quite a while a expect, for compatibility reasons. I am quite sure that whatever Lion only features the developer wanted to exploit could have been relatively easily back-ported/implemented/disabled when installed in Snow Leopard. Earlyer versions of Forklift are unstable/buggy, so us Snow Leopard users are stuck with no valid options. Such a shame.

Awesome deal for an awesome product

First of all a big "Thank You!" to Binary NIghts LLC for offering this aweseome deal! Although not pretending to be a full Finder replacement, it comes very close. Personally I will be using it more as a Finder replacement than a server (FTP / SFTP / SM etc) tool. The dual pane file browsing is of-course a tremendous asset for those that have a need to move around files a lot. I wish the company some great sales. I hope you do million + sales for 0.99 cents!

Finder on steroids

Do not miss out on this app @99¢. Even if you have no use for the FTP Server sync feature, the dual pane file manangement system in this app is worth the price of admission. So glad it was on sale or I would have missed out on yet another Mac gem. I would easily have paid more for the functionality and productivity boost this app brings. Finder in Mac OS X should have these features.
